Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, ANSNA was unable to host an in-person Australian Social Networks Analysis Conference (ASNAC) in 2021. Further, given the 'online fatigue' that many were experiencing with continued lockdowns, the ASNAC Committee decided to alter the format of ASNAC 2021 to make it a shorter and more social event. As a result, we did not have the usual presentation schedule. Instead, we celebrated the winner of the Pip Pattison Award 2021 - Professor Margaret Hellard AM, and came together with our panel to discuss
“How do you build a network to translate your network research?”
The event was hosted online (and/or in-person, where applicable) as a social event to bring the Australian social networks community together, and was held on Tuesday 7 December 2021 online and in Melbourne, Australia.
